Shailendra liked this phrase and he created an entire song where this phrase was also incorporated.Īnother version is that Shankar, who was born and brought up in Hyderabad Deccan had heard a Telugu folk song and he made use of the tune of that folk music to create this song. Legend has it that Shailendra was passing though an area of an under construction building and there he heard some Telugu speaking labourours uttering this word “Ramaiyya vasta vaiyya” (Ramaiyya come here).
